Note:? There are features exclusive to the Dedicated deployment that are not supported in the Serverless deployment and vice versa[1].

In July 2024, 23ai ADB-S Paid Tier became available in regions - US East: Ashburn (IAD), Japan East: Tokyo (NRT), and Singapore (SIN)[4].? And became an option in the Free Tier in regions - US West: Phoenix (PHX), US East: Ashburn (IAD), UK South: London (LHR), France Central: Paris (CDG), Australia East: Sydney (SYD), India West: Mumbai (BOM), Singapore (SIN), and Japan East: Tokyo (NRT)[5].

Other considerations

For Oracle APEX customers, ADB-S updates are applied to APEX by default as soon as they are released, though major releases can be deferred for up to 90 days[6].

For Oracle E-Business Suite customers, integration with Oracle Autonomous Database is currently in Limited Availability and is only applicable to ADB-D only.

It is unclear whether an in-place upgrade option will be available for customers currently using Autonomous Database 19c to transition to 23ai.
