Embrace your Journey #29

Embrace your Journey #29

“Give people the space to allow their unique Light to shine; Allow people to express their creativity, their uniqueness on the way to the vision, and if they forget, you are always there to gently guide them back." ~ Karen Berg*

Are you expressing your creativity and allowing the others around you to do the same? I have created Briyah Institute with that intention. Actually, when I was looking for a name for my company that related to innovation with purpose, I was studying Kabbalah and found Briyah, which means the world of creation according to the Zohar, a foundational work in Kabbalah.

Since then, I have stayed curious, and continued to learn from different sources, including Kabbalah. I have learned to observe Rosh Hashanah, which this year took place from Sep 15th to 17th, as a time to unite, to actively come together, to receive a renewal of energy, to elevate consciousness.

This year, one of the messages that resonated with me the most and that I believe has everything to do with leadership and creativity, was shared by Monica Berg**:

As simple as it may sound, it may not be as easily remembered or implemented. There is so much distraction in the world today that it is easier to just turn on the "autopilot mode" and keep going, repeating patterns and missing precious opportunity to become our full potential and to lead others into manifesting theirs.

It is equally common to let judgement take over and feel stuck! When that happens, Monica reminds us to pay closer attention to where we are connecting our thoughts to, to attach our desire to something bigger than ourselves, and to look for goodness in everything.

As some celebrate the beginning of a new year, of a new cycle, I hope you will connect your thoughts to positive and inspiring stories, like the ones we share here and in the episodes of our newly created podcast called "The Good, The Bad, and The Fun on Leadership."

I hope you will grow your desire to create and not simply repeat old patterns that don't serve you, your team, your organization, or even the planet any longer.

Lastly, but not least, I hope that when you apply your lens of seeing goodness, it will ignite in you the power of being creative and of allowing creativity to be expressed all around you!

Cheers and Shanah Tovah,

Adriana Machado

If you haven't registered yet, there is still time to add an eco-innovation summit to your list (translation to English will be offered and the recordings will remain available for some time afterwards as well). Janine Benyus and Mariana Mazzucato will be keynote speakers alongside other international guests and industry leaders hosted by the Brazilian National Confederation of Industry (CNI/MEI), Sep 27-28, in Sao Paulo.

Register for CNI/MEI Eco-Innovation Summit here.

One of the topics of the summit is biomimicry, or nature-inspired innovation. Not sure what it means and why this is relevant? Listen to the conversation between Briyah Institute 's founder Adriana Machado and Dr. Taryn Mead, PhD on the power of biomimicry in leadership and innovation.
