This year Buccini Pollin Group along with ResideBPG and BPG|360 hosted our 7th Annual BPG Cares School Supply & Hygiene Drive! The items collected directly support City of Wilmington students through the Metropolitan Wilmington Urban League, a non-profit whose mission is to empower people of color to achieve economic self-reliance, parity, power, and civil rights. Thanks to the kindness of our associates, residents, and office tenants, BPG was able to donate over 1,000 school supplies! These included backpacks, notebooks, folders, pens & pencils, hygiene products, and more. MWUL will distribute these donations to students most in need within our community. ??Let the games begin!?? BPG brought the Olympic Games to Wilmington! Hosted at The Chase Fieldhouse, associates put their skills to the test and shared in some friendly competition. The games for the day included variations on popular Olympic events like basketball, track & field, golf, and soccer, with the final round featuring an equestrian agility relay race. Following the games, associates enjoyed a happy hour and awards ceremony, where team UK took home the gold with the highest score for the day! The day was full of team-building, bonding, and lots of laughs. Yesterday, BPG, along with BPGS Construction and ResideBPG, celebrated the topping out of their latest residential development in Downtown Wilmington, The Press. During the ceremony, a structural beam was raised and installed to the top of the 14-story building, signifying a major milestone in the development of the 243-unit multi-family community coming to 801 N. Orange Street in the Summer of 2025. Prior to remarks from Mayor Mike Purzycki, BPG Founder Rob Buccini, and BPG Executive Vice President of Development of Michael Hare; guests, neighbors, and project partners were invited to sign final structural beam installed in the building elevator shaft on the 14th floor. The beam was adorned with an American flag and evergreen tree as per topping out tradition before being raising by the 241-foot-tall tower crane. Designed by Perkins Eastman, the $90 million development will feature studio, one, two, and three-bedroom apartments and duplexes across the 1.15 acre site. “Our City continues to grow in ways we haven’t seen in many, many years. Businesses large and small continue to move to Wilmington, and more and more people are choosing to make their home here. Our Downtown neighborhood, which continues to be the beating heart of the City, is seeing a population explosion that is having positive ripple effects across all our neighborhoods, benefitting everyone,” said City of Wilmington, DE Mayor Mike Purzycki. “I again thank our friends at BPG for investing in this ambitious housing project and drawing still more residents to town, and also for recognizing the history of this area through this impressive new building’s name, The Press. Last week, BPG Founder Rob Buccini spent the morning speaking to Leadership Delaware during their Banking, Building, and Business sessions. Rob shared his leadership journey and discussed BPG's impact on the revitalization of Wilmington and redevelopment in Lower Hill, Pittsburgh with the 2024 Leadership Delaware Fellows. BPG mentioned in Delaware Business Times: "Buccini Pollin Group has inked an investment deal with New Castle County that will bring a $16 million 60-acre sports complex to the area just off of Delaware Route 9. The 25-year deal means that BPG, through its sports management company, will provide funding for synthetic turf fields, stadium lights and other indoor facility improvements at the Kirkwood Soccer complex on River Road. JUST ANNOUNCED ?? This fall the team behind Bardea Food & Drink, Bardea Steak and Bardea Garden will open their sixth establishment in downtown Wilmington inside DE.CO food hall, where they currently operate two stalls: Pizzeria Bardea and Taqueria El Chingon. DECO owners Buccini Pollin Group have partnered again with Bardea Co-founders Scott Stein, Chef Antimo DiMeo and Pino DiMeo to open what is sure to be another homegrown favorite amongst the city’s blossoming dining scene. The yet-to-be-named full-service restaurant inside DE.CO will be a full-scale build out designed by the prolific Stokes Architecture, who specialize in hospitality projects and whose recent work in Wilmington includes Bardea Steak and The Quoin. The Italian trattoria will have seating for roughly 70, including a full bar, and will offer lunch and dinner seven days a week to both travelers and locals, groups and families, whether the occasion is for leisure or business. His display of expertise and agility in planning and executing events and live music is of the highest caliber. He studiously works with agents, touring bands, and clients to ensure that the venue supports them fully and to the best of The Queen's ability. Many have cited Eric as a core component of event success and a reason to return for enthusiastic performances at The Queen in the future. He continually displays appreciation of the value of inclusion and emphasizes diverse input from the team in all aspects of the venue's operation. Eric embodies the tradition of excellence within The Queen and is one of the most influential and effective assets in the venue.
