As a training organisation specialising in personal development, this makes me very excited as I am privileged and honoured to be part of hundreds of peoples growth journeys through the training and coaching that we offer.

As well as directly working with individuals, teams and organisations we also have no idea how far and wide a persons journey of growth will impact. The peoples lives that they will touch and influence, the relationships that will improve, the goals and dreams that will be achieved, the inspirational leaders that will inspire others, the books that will be written, the lives that will be transformed and the ongoing ripple effect that personal growth creates.

The starfish story effect ...

One of the metaphors we hold dear in our training is the starfish story by Loren Eiseley below ??

One day, an old man was walking along the beach in the early morning and noticed the tide had washed thousands of starfish up on the shore. Up ahead in the distance he spotted a boy who appeared to be gathering up the starfish, and one by one tossing them back into the ocean.

He approached the boy and asked him why he spent so much energy doing what seemed to be a waste of time.

The boy replied, "If these starfish are left out here like this they will bake in the sun, and by this afternoon they will all be dead."

The old man gazed out as far as he could see and responded, "But, there must be hundreds of miles of beach and thousands of starfish. You can't possibly rescue all of them. What difference is throwing a few back going to make anyway?"

The boy then held up the starfish he had in his hand and replied: it made a difference to that one...

??The star fish story reminds us that we ALL have the potential to make a difference, and it is through unlocking our own gifts and talents that we inspire others to unlock theirs.

Supporting coaches to build their business

This week we had our monthly business surgery with a focus on identity and 'who' you are expressing yourself as in your coaching business. Having clarity on your identity and mission supports the 'ease' of attracting your ideal client and working with people who are aligned with your mission and vision. We had some great discussion about sharing this message on social media Channels through personal stories and connecting authentically with people. We know that people buy from people and that relationships, rapport, and trust are key factors in building a business and delivering an incredible service.

With customer relationships and service at the heart of what we all do in our coaching work, the discussion was centred around making a difference and helping people.
