Just when I was about to give up on becoming a professional speaker, I committed to one final action that changed everything and ultimately the direction of my life.?
Let me step back a moment.
Did you know that a staggering 85% of jobs ?are filled through networking? Your connections are often the key to unlocking career advancement, landing new clients, and discovering hidden opportunities. But here's the kicker: it's not just about who you know; it's about how diverse your network is. Bridging social capital—connecting with people outside your usual circles—is where the real magic happens.
Think of it like this: if everyone in your network has the same background, experiences, and perspectives, you all have access to the same set of resources and opportunities. Nothing is new. A study by LinkedIn found that individuals with diverse networks are three times more likely to find a new job and twice as likely to receive a promotion. This powerful form of networking not only broadens your horizons but also enriches your professional journey with fresh perspectives and insights.
