Pulsebot Revolutionizes Patient Feedback for Improved Quality Care in Zambia

CRZ and D-tree are proud to introduce Pulsebot, a groundbreaking WhatsApp-based chatbot designed to empower young people and improve healthcare quality in Zambia.

Traditionally, gathering patient feedback in Zambia has been a challenging task. Pulsebot, in its last stage of development, offers a revolutionary solution by providing a structured and accessible platform for young people to share their experiences with healthcare services.

Key Benefits of Pulsebot:

  • Streamlined Feedback Collection: Pulsebot simplifies the process of gathering patient feedback, ensuring that valuable insights are captured efficiently.
  • Enhanced Data Analysis: The chatbot provides structured data, enabling healthcare providers to gain a deeper understanding of patient needs and experiences.
  • Improved Patient-Provider Communication: Pulsebot fosters open and honest communication between patients and healthcare providers, leading to more patient-centered care.
  • Empowerment of Young People: By providing a platform for their voices to be heard, Pulsebot empowers young people to actively participate in shaping healthcare services.

Peer Educators and adolescents, like Esther Kambukwe and George Hara, have praised the chatbot for its ability to streamline feedback collection and improve insights into patient needs.

Dr. Natasha Salifyanji Kaoma, CEO of CRZ, highlighted the impact of the Pulsebot in that it empowers young people to voice their needs and hold service providers accountable, bridging a crucial gap in healthcare feedback.

In the same vein, Heiko Hornung, D-tree’s interim Country Director in Zambia, said the process of developing Pulsebot was intensive but rewarding. He believes Pulsebot will encourage more youth to share feedback and improve healthcare services.?

We look forward to further improving this system and expanding its reach.

USAID-ZIH Commemorate the National Annual HIV Testing, Counseling, and Treatment Day

The USAID Zambia Integrated Health (ZIH) project under CRZ joined the rest of the country in? Commemorating the National HIV Testing Counseling and Treatment Day (HTCT) on August 15.?

This eventful day began with a vibrant march-past from New Masala Market, leading to the main event at Kaloko Grounds, which the Copperbelt Permanent Secretary, Mr. Augustine Kasongo, graced. The commemoration provided a significant platform for raising awareness about HIV-related issues.

The theme for 2024 “Free Your Mind! #Test for HIV Today #Secure Your Future” highlights the need to address inequalities that hinder progress in ending AIDS.

Our Ndola team, alongside various partners and community members, emphasized the critical need for HIV testing, treatment, and counseling services. The engagement aimed to enhance awareness, promote early testing, and ensure that those affected by HIV receive the necessary support and care. This collaborative effort highlighted the collective commitment to addressing the HIV/AIDS epidemic.

A crucial takeaway from the event was the continued high rates of HIV infections and STIs among adolescents, particularly in Kitwe and Ndola. This insight underscores the urgent need for targeted interventions and ongoing community involvement. The event reinforced our dedication to combating the HIV/AIDS epidemic and showcased the power of unified efforts in making a meaningful impact.
