?? Step-by-Step Guide to Creating a New Tenant in Microsoft Entra ID ??
Creating a new tenant in Microsoft Entra ID is a straightforward process. Here's a step-by-step guide to help you get started:
1?? Prerequisites: You need an Azure account with an active subscription1.
2?? Sign In: Sign in to the Azure portal.
3?? Navigate: From the Azure portal menu, select Microsoft Entra ID. Navigate to Identity > Overview > Manage tenants.
4?? Create Tenant: Select 'Create'. On the Basics tab, select the type of tenant you want to create, either Microsoft Entra ID or Microsoft Entra ID (B2C).
5?? Configuration: Select 'Next: Configuration' to move to the Configuration tab. Enter your desired Organization name and Initial domain name. Select your desired Country/Region.
6?? Review and Create: Select 'Next: Review + Create'. Review the information you entered and if the information is correct, select 'Create' in the lower left corner.
Your new tenant is now created with the domain yourdomain.onmicrosoft.com
As the first user, you're automatically assigned the Global Administrator role.
Remember, each Microsoft Entra tenant is distinct and separate from other Microsoft Entra tenants. It's in the Microsoft Entra tenant that you register and manage your apps, configure their access to data in Microsoft 365 and other web APIs, and enable features like Conditional Access.
