It is obvious that entertainment and gaming are the most developed industries when it comes to these kinds of technologies, however, I will start with more critical industries which has been developing state-of-the-art use cases for the XR techniques embedding them into their operation to deliver more value while cutting the cost and raising the quality of its services.

Here we are talking about human lives, carving a transformative path in the medical industry and healthcare, acting as a conduit for enhanced patient care, medical training, and healthcare operations.

Utilizing Extended Reality (XR) technologies can significantly augment the precision and safety when administering injections or performing procedures in critical areas such as the hand or head, where there's a high density of nerves, blood vessels, and other vital structures.

For example, a healthcare professional could use Augmented Reality (AR) to overlay real-time ultrasound imaging or pre-acquired MRI/CT scan data onto the patient's anatomy, visualized through AR glasses or a handheld device. This overlay would highlight the critical structures, guide the path of the needle, and show the precise location where the injection should be administered.
