News flash… OpenAI's DALL-E, the powerful image generation tool, has just rolled out an exciting new feature that is extremely helpful from a creative design perspective. This new update allows users to highlight specific areas of an image and adjust them, offering turn-key iterative control over the final output.
Imagine this: You generate an image using DALL-E, but there’s a small detail that doesn’t quite fit your vision. Maybe the background is too busy, or you wish to tweak the color of an object. With this new feature, you no longer have to start from scratch. Simply highlight the area you want to change, and DALL-E will help you make the adjustments. This capability is a game-changer for creatives, marketers, and designers who need precision and flexibility in their projects.
For me, the largest roadblock with DALL-E has been images with text where GPT would almost predictably misspell at least one or two words. With editable image areas it's as simple as highlighting the text that needs adjustment (image below) and re-prompting for the fix.
For digital marketers, this means more tailored visuals that align perfectly with brand guidelines. Designers can now refine details without compromising the overall composition. The ability to tweak specific parts of an image opens up endless possibilities for customization and innovation.
How will this impact the way we approach design and marketing??
