In this latest blog article we continue to focus on the details that make Liber Domus such an innovative and unique game in the way it is structured to provide the best educational experience for students. You can follow more about our work over the next few weeks as well as the various improvements and features added to Liber Domus by subscribing to our newsletter.
Beginning
Each adventure begins when the player accesses it, either through a character (quest-giver) or through choices on the quest board of a society. There are multiple adventures that the player can choose from, from main adventures, societies’ adventures, optional or complementary adventures. The acceptance of adventures consumes energy to the character, and for this reason, failing an adventure forces additional consumption, ensuring that the student feels the need to focus and succeed.
Goals
Each adventure consists of several (usually) sequential goals/objectives that must be achieved by the student, whether through interaction with characters, dialogue choices, obtaining items, or solving specific mechanisms. To complete the adventure, the player must fulfill all objectives within the pre-established conditions of which he has been informed.

Rewards
Upon completion of each adventure the player receives rewards, usually in the form of items and coins. These rewards provide an immediate benefit for the player's effort, but not only. Items, including fast-to-eat items, are essential for player progression and power level reset.
An unspoken but very real reward is the change in the way characters react to the player and even locations change, for the better, after completion, rewarding the player with the satisfaction of helping.
Optional adventures and Societies
To allow greater flexibility in the way the student chooses his learning path and preferences for certain topics, we created Society quests, associated with professions and activities centered on real life. Additionally, for the student to reinforce certain topics and recover learning losses, there are optional adventures that are repeatable, do not require energy and reward the player for additional effort.
