Initiated monthly 'Innovation Talk' with the team. Told famous motivational stories of 'Fosbury Flop' and 'Golconda Diamond Mines' :) .There is a need to bring in culture of creativity and innovation, and it will only happen if the we do start talking about it more often and reward the people who have demonstrated a sense of creativity and innovation. Each of the member was given 2 minutes to share his achievements demonstrating innovative thinking and execution, believe me there were many stories and pleasant surprises. While three STAR REWARDS were conferred upon based on individual achievements (demonstrating creativity and innovation) in previous quarter , I am sure next time this is going to be a tough job for me, and I would love that.

9 年It is said that the strating point for innovation is dissatisfaction ( in a positive sense ) with the present . Once you are dissatisfied you start challenging the status-quo. This leads to challenging questions to be resolved/answered. Throw open these challenging questions to your team ( along with what you are doing ). Give them time individually & collectively to work on these challenging questions. Follow it up by intelligent risk taking. Amazing results will follow. Cheers

9 年Being innovative is not a mere thought, it's a process to bring a change to be innovative. You reward those who deserve to bring that change in the organisation. People with the stubborn approach or rigid mindset can never fall in this category
