Unlocking Hope: Partnering for Impact with HIVSA

Since 2012, HIVSA has been at the forefront of implementing vital programs for Orphaned and Vulnerable Children, Adolescents, and Youth (OVCA&Y) with funding from the USAID. This collaboration has not only transformed lives but also fostered sustainable change in communities across Gauteng province, including the City of City of Johannesburg (COJ), City of City of Tshwane Metropolitan Municipality (COT), and sedibeng district municipality

At the heart of our mission is a commitment to empowering those affected by HIV/AIDS, particularly children and youth who face heightened vulnerabilities. Through strategic partnerships with the Gauteng Department of Social Development (DSD) and the Department of Health (DoH), we've been able to amplify our impact and reach those most in need.

Ikageng, a sub-partner to HIVSA under its Preventing HIV/AIDS in Vulnerable Populations (PHVP) Programme funded by USAID , stands as a testament to the power of collective action. In partnership with Ikageng, HIVSA delivers holistic services to Orphans and Vulnerable Children in the surrounding community, ensuring that children and adolescents living with HIV are linked to care and treatment and become virally suppressed.

Ikageng, which means 'self-improvement' in Tswana, embodies our shared vision of protection and empowerment for vulnerable children. Through a holistic approach, Ikageng provides essential services, including health support, nutritional assistance, education programs, psychosocial support, and foster care.

This comprehensive model not only addresses immediate needs but also builds resilience and fosters long-term stability for children and families affected by HIV/AIDS. By investing in Ikageng, donors have the opportunity to make a tangible difference in the lives of those who need it most.
