Unlocking the Guide to Twitter Marketing.

It took me so many years to grasp the art of Twitter marketing, this platform has unique features where most of their networks converse with the use of tweets/threads, photos, videos. For the last 12 months, here in Kenya, we have had 22.92% of current Twitter users. Twitter has improved its features from tweets to spaces and newsletters which are the real deal of our conversation today. Like any other platform so many businesses are generating revenue and awareness through Twitter. Most businesses as well have not captured the right way to sell their services online. I hope this guide will give you the platform to explore this platform to the fullest.

  • Home Tab-This tab just like any other home tab in other platforms entails new tweets from both your connection and tweets from suggestions you need to follow. The beauty of this tab is you can switch whether to view the latest tweets or top tweets first in the content preference settings.
  • Explore Tab-this is more of the trends suggested for you plus a search button tab to search for anyone you may know. Also, it updates you on the current trends on what is happening at specific locations.
  • Notification Tab-showcases all your mentions, retweet, like and comment notification
  • Messages Tab-all your message requests, appear in this tab anytime you have a message, its feature is closely related to Instagram and Meta.
  • Bookmarks Tab-this tab in layman's language is more like the add to collection tab on Instagram where you save tweets that you will view later or if they are of importance so you do not miss on the main text you use the bookmark.
  • List Tab-because the home tab seems to generate new tweets every minute the list tab gives you the platform to pin your favorite list so you can access them quickly This way anytime you want to access one's profile on the list tab it automatically directs you to their profile.
  • Profile Tab-like all the other platforms we never miss the profile section where you have to list a detailed explanation about yourself/your business. Attach links to your sites and it's more of a section that showcases your overall tweets, replies, media, and likes.
  • Topics-when you first join Twitter you are given access to pick your topics of interest i.e. clubhouse, travel, digital creators when you have picked your list these topics showcase in the topics tab, whenever you want to access a given topic you click on the subject and it directs you to every tweet entailing the topic you have selected, this way you are able to stay up to date with your topics of interest and what people are posting about it.
  • Moments-I call this section the captures of your experience, which can be a blog, travel story, work story, about your team whereby you need to explain in short description attached to a tweet URL of the given title without being reduced on the threads to use.
  • Newsletter-this is the new feature I spotted last week, I wanted to write an article topic of its own but I felt I didn't address the Twitter topic, anyway this feature is very interesting, it gives you the platform to earn money from your thoughts and skills. In a way that you need to create and schedule newsletters, if you have an email list for example if you are a company with a database of emails this is your feature to run with in advertising your business, analyze your engagement (p.s I will address this feature independently in my next blog)
  • Twitter for professionals-this is more like Instagram for business feature mostly used by business people to grow their brand and increase their revenue.
