Unlocking Growth Through Adaptation: My Journey in the Bangkit 2024 Program

The ability to adapt is not just about survival, but about thriving in new environments. During the Bangkit led by Google, Goto, and Traveloka , I learned that the key to success lies in embracing change and continuously improving oneself. Here are the five ways I adapted throughout the program:

1. Ways of Interacting

I made a conscious effort to use English when communicating with peers and mentors, enhancing my language skills. Joining English-speaking rooms on Discord not only improved my communication but also boosted my confidence.

2. Ways of Achieving

Success relies on planning and perseverance. To keep myself on track, I created detailed plans for each activity, allowing me to monitor progress effectively. This approach helped me prioritize tasks and remain focused, even when faced with challenges.

3. Ways of Learning

Continuous learning fuels personal growth. I utilized Dicoding courses and supplemented my knowledge with YouTube videos to develop both soft and hard skills. Engaging in discussions on the Bangkit Discord helped me share insights and collaborate with peers.

4. Ways of Working

Adjusting to new work environments is crucial for productivity. I embraced the Time and Energy Management ILT sessions provided by Bangkit, which taught me how to manage my time efficiently. This helped me maintain balance while staying productive.

5. Ways of Thinking

A major takeaway from Bangkit was the significance of a growth mindset. The ILT session on “Growth Mindset and The Power of Feedback” encouraged me to be more receptive to feedback and confident in my decision-making. Now, I see challenges as opportunities for growth.
