8 个月Being a product passionate myself, I see how this role could play very well in young product companies that match the criteria described in the article. I would also add two conditions that I believe are crucial for the success of the role and the company: a) most of the time, the product vision and strategy are carried by the founders so, delegating this to a "part-time outsider" requires thoughtful consideration of mutual expectations and a solid trust relationship b) at the risk of sounding obvious: there has to be a product team! Setting the product vision, strategy, and roadmap by a CPO is needed and welcomed but execution requires a full-time product team to make things a reality. A CPO alone cannot significantly impact a company's bottomline. My 2 cents!
