Unlocking the Future of Road Asset Management: LIDAR & AI Integration

This interactive IRF LIDAR and AI for Road Asset Management training program equips participants with the core knowledge on LIDAR application in highway asset management, and the incorporation of artificial intelligence (AI) principles in automated road condition assessment in conjunction with LIDARs. LIDAR and AI incorporation as a hybrid strategy in road asset management support improved road maintenance strategies and deliver better roads through more consistent and cost-effective data collection and analysis. Case studies on LIDAR and AI applications are introduced, and the benefits, advantages, and limitations of AI application is presented. Different AI available platforms/applications are introduced for possible use by the course attendees in future applications.
