As a business owner, have you ever felt unsupported and overwhelmed when it comes to managing your finances? You're not alone. After spending six years doing sales for a CPA firm, I saw firsthand how many business owners struggle with financial literacy. It's not their fault—these crucial skills weren't taught in school, but we did learn something valuable: asking the right questions.

The Importance of Knowing Your Why

There is nothing more important than knowing what you want to do, be, or have. In many preliminary calls, I hear business owners say, "I want to make a million dollars." When I ask why, they often say, "I don't know." You need to make sure everything you do is something you really want. Every decision you have made has brought you where you are today. You have the power to choose, so every day or week when you look at what you do, ask yourself these questions. If there is no "why" or "who," do you really want it? When you know your "why," you have an energy that the universe delivers on.

The 6 Key Questions For Success:

WHO? WHA? WHEN? WHERE? WHY? HOW?

Reflecting on these questions can provide clarity and direction. It helps you prioritize what's truly important and take actionable steps towards achieving your goals. These questions are simple, but they pack a punch. They help you focus and align your business goals with your personal aspirations. I'm excited to dive in.

The 6 Key Questions Exercise

Ask yourself these questions:

• WHO: This is you. Write down your name or identify the key people involved in achieving your goals.
• WHAT: Define your specific goals and objectives. (Color Size- Visualize it)
• WHEN: When do you want this to happen? Set a timeline for accomplishing your goals.
• WHERE: Where do you want this to take place?
• WHY: Why is this important to you? Understand the deeper motivation behind your goals.
• HOW: How much time will it take or how much money will it cost?

For example, here are my answers:

• WHO: Business Owners Advocate
• WHAT: Read 40 business owners their book (their bookkeeping reports) 30 minutes a month, during the last week of the month
• WHEN: September 1, 2025
• WHERE: Google Meet
• WHY: Over the last six years, I've heard too many business owners say that their bookkeeper does not send them monthly reports. I am dedicated to advocating for business owners' financial clarity. Fulfilling my life purpose as a social butterfly, I aim to inspire, empower, and transform lives with my words. There's no greater feeling than watching a business owner experience financial clarity, realizing they are doing much better than they think. Use your numbers to empower you.
