Open to artists, designers & illustrators worldwide, our 28 Day Challenges are an unbeatable experience inviting you to work on creative briefs set by global agencies, with mentoring, live feedback and masterclasses to inspire and motivate you every step of the way!

Whatever you’re doing with your portfolio development right now, it’s too important to let it slide! Inkygoodness challenges give you an unrivalled opportunity to test your skills on industry level creative briefs set by leading creative and animation agencies.

Our masterclasses will lift the curtain on the creative process as we unpack branding illustration projects for Greenman Festival, Chicago Bulls, Mailchimp and many more, with illustrators and multidisciplinary artists commissioned to deliver incredible client projects sharing their insights, advice and tricks of the trade!

Our 28 Day Branding Challenge will kick off on Monday 8th April and will include:

  • Prizes. We’re going to bring in prizes* to provide even more focus and motivation for you to complete TWO Branding Illustration Briefs.
  • Challenge Programming. Over the course of 28 days**, we’ll provide a step-by-step structure for how to tackle a Branding Illustration project, from creative brief to research; concepts, client feedback, artwork and delivery!
  • Daily Check-Ins. If you've joined Inkygoodness for any of our past challenges or courses you'll know how valuable these are! Think about them as a “daily accountability” to keep you on track.
  • Weekly Break-Out Rooms. Join our community for lively discussion, group sessions and extra support along the way.
  • Live Crits. Meet and connect with our Creative Directors twice a week to check-in on your progress, troubleshoot and get valuable feedback every step of the way!
  • Final Showcase. Share your final projects with the group in a Zoom session hosted by Inkygoodness at the end of the challenge.


And, as always, you'll be part of a supportive community of fellow artists and illustrators on the same path to grow and develop their creative skills.

This Challenge is designed for creatives like you who:

  • Want a little extra support, motivation, and focus as you find your creative voice and develop your illustration portfolio.
  • Love being a part of a smaller group or community as you take on things that may feel a bit challenging or overwhelming.
  • Are motivated by deadlines or a little friendly competition.
  • Have less than 5 years experience in the creative industry and would love the opportunity to meet art directors and access mentoring.
  • Are more established and need a boost of momentum and a fresh creative challenge!

What's included?

Your booking includes x 3 live workshop sessions on zoom, x 3 masterclasses with leading illustrators, x 2 industry standard creative briefs - plus live talks & critique with art directors and creative directors at leading design agencies.

Programme Dates

Our NEW 28-Day Branding Illustration Challenge runs 8th April - 10th May 2024, with daily live streams, live workshop sessions and industry talks on zoom. Sessions take place at various times to accommodate different time zones.

Creative Briefs

Each agency will be tailoring their creative brief for the challenge! Expect to work on creative briefs that will include illustration for a popular beverage brand, posters, spot illustration and animated gifs. Our creative agencies will join us for live briefings and feedback to guide you through each stage of the brief - from moodboards to ideation, sketches, colour development and final delivery, with a focus on experimentation and an opportunity to explore analog and digital approaches. Sounds fun right?

Prizes

At the end of the challenge, ONE artist will be?awarded a?paid commission?with Flow Creative?(1st Prize); ONE artist will be awarded a?six month (online) mentorship with Vault49?and SIX runners-up (three per agency) will each receive a?1:1 Portfolio Crit?with the creative team.

Alongside this everyone taking part in the challenge can look forward to plenty of inspiration, motivation and opportunities for rising to the challenge to work on two industry level briefs; alongside forging new, meaningful relationships with two creative agencies and the prospect of future collaborations.
