We connected a test environment to Data Cloud and ingested nearly 5 million obfuscated account records, sharing them in real time with Snowflake using Data Share. Of course, there were some challenges. We encountered network policy issues while connecting to Snowflake, including having to whitelist certain IPs. But our team figured it all out—and even helped Salesforce improve their official documentation in the process.
This integration has unlocked new possibilities. It challenged the traditional approach of batch integrations and middleware for sharing data between Salesforce and other Data Management Systems (DMS). With Data Cloud - Data Sharing, we saw how fast and efficient the process could be, and the best part—no more data duplication, which means lower costs and smoother scaling for data strategy. It also opens the door to personalized customer experiences with real-time, accurate insights.
