Originally, I planned on this being a monthly newsletter...but the world of AI is changing too rapidly (and I couldn't wait that long to share this next piece with you).

When it comes to a basic definition, Artificial Intelligence (AI) aims to create machines or systems that can perform tasks that would typically require human intelligence.? And not only that, but as AI gets more data, it can learn to identify patterns more precisely to make more accurate predictions and operate more efficiently.

For a simple example, Netflix uses AI to recommend shows and movies for you to watch. It does this by comparing your viewing history with others who have a similar viewing history or preference.

While AI can be exciting, it's also a little scary to consider the possibilities and where they end...or don't end.

But at this point, AI is NOT perfect. I am using AI more like a compass to help guide the overall direction rather than a GPS that I follow turn by turn.

Here are some of the most common AI applications that we are seeing today:

1. Healthcare: AI is being used to detect abnormal scans and health data patterns to identify diseases earlier and more accurately. It is also being used to study large sets of data to make more accurate health predictions and potential cures.

2. Finance: AI is used to detect fraudulent and abnormal activities, make predictions about the stock market, and assist in more accurate financial forecasting.

3. Retail: AI is being used in e-commerce and brick-and-mortar stores to provide personalized recommendations to customers while also optimize pricing strategies based on buying patterns.

4. Manufacturing: AI is being used to improve production efficiency while reducing waste and still improving the overall quality of products. Helping businesses cut costs and maximize profitability.

5. Transportation: AI is used to optimize logistics and transportation routes, improve overall traffic flow, and develop autonomous vehicles.

The 5 Best Free AI Virtual Meeting Assistants

What is an AI Virtual Meeting Assistant? It is a tool that can:

• Record and capture meeting highlights
• Automatically transcribe meetings
• Provide automated meeting highlights and summaries
• Suggest relevant feedback in real-time

Many of you who are in sales may already be using a CRM that has some AI capability built into it (maybe more so for phone calls).?These tools can help eliminate a lot of the administrative time typically spent inside of the CRM so we can focus on selling.

If you do not have a CRM that can record virtual meetings and automatically transcribe them for you, don't worry. There's a few AI Tools to choose from...

2. Fireflies.ai - Fireflies.ai helps your team record, transcribe, search, and analyze voice conversations. Fireflies.ai works with Zoom, Google Meet, Microsoft Teams, Webex, Skype, BlueJeans, Dialpad, Lifesize, and GoToMeeting. This tool also integrates with multiple different CRMs and platforms. The free version allows up to 800 minutes of storage.

3. Otter.ai - Otter.ai records meetings, takes notes in real time, and generates an automated summary to share with everyone and to help you remember everything. Otter works with Zoom, Microsoft Teams, and Google Meet. The free version includes 300 monthly transcription minutes and 30 minutes/meeting.

4. Sembly.ai - Sembly.ai transcribes, takes meeting notes, and generates insights for your professional meetings. Sembly works with Zoom, Google Meet, Microsoft Teams, and Webex. Their free version allows up to 480 minutes of recording/month and a one week free trial of other versions.

5. Avoma - Make your meetings more actionable with Avoma’s Intelligent Meeting Lifecycle Assistant. This tool focuses on what needs to be done before, during, and after the meeting takes place. Avoma can be used on Zoom, UberConference, Google Meet, Microsoft Teams, BlueJeans, and Lifesize. The free version includes 600 minutes/month of transcription and 4 hour long meetings.

Honorable Mention: Poised - Poised is a little different than the rest of the tools on this list.

Poised is the AI-powered communication coach that helps you speak with confidence and clarity. Poised is free to use (paid versions available with more features like transcribing) and provides your meetings with real-time feedback. During your meeting, Poised sits in the corner of your screen (hidden from other participants) coaching you in real-time on filler words, tempo, asking questions, and more.

From the research I've done, the AI Virtual Meeting Assistants I just mentioned are the best free options available today. There are other AI Virtual Assistants that didn't make this list, so you may find different options that fit your needs better.

• Integration capability within your CRM
