Unlock Innovation in Lab Medicine: Join Akuratemp at #2023AACC
We are excited to announce #2023AACC is just a few days away! ?Akuratemp, LLC has been an active exhibitor at the AACC on an annual basis, and we are thrilled to once again be a part of the event this year. At the 2023 AACC Annual Scientific Meeting, you will have the opportunity to connect with global leaders in laboratory management and witness the latest technologies in new products and services. This global lab medicine community comprises thinkers + trailblazers + dreamers + disruptors + movers + shakers + innovators + instigators! Join the global laboratory medicine annual event and don’t forget to visit us at booth #3224 at the Annual Scientific Meeting & Clinical Lab Expo in Anaheim, CA from July 23rd to July 27th.?
We are looking forward to attending and recommending a few great sessions to our followers The session “32102 Emerging Trends in Laboratory Medicine” is a president-invited session scheduled for? 7/24/2023 at 10:30 AM. It will be presented by Heungsup Sung, Katherine Hayden, and Stephen Master. This session aims to?demonstrate initiatives taken by the global laboratory medicine community in response to emerging trends and issues that affect us all. Representatives from partner societies will discuss their leadership efforts in three key areas: (1) pandemic preparedness, (2) environmental sustainability, and (3) best practices for machine learning.?
The session “3222 Advances in Courier, Drone, and Automated Laboratory Transport” is scheduled for 7/24/2023 at 2.30 PM. It will be presented by Joe Wiencek, Timothy Amukele, and Jonathan Genzen. Specimen transport is a crucial step in laboratory testing, and samples typically originate from remote collection sites or inpatient settings before being distributed within the laboratory. Each route poses various challenges, including transport time, environmental factors, and inefficient workflows. This session will highlight the latest advancements in courier, drone, and automated laboratory transport systems.
The session “34222 Emerging Technologies for the Next Generation of Point-Of-Care Testing” is scheduled for 7/26/2023 at 2.30 PM, It will be presented by James Nichols, Peter Luppa, and Guido Freckmann. In the realm of near-patient laboratory diagnostics, detection methods and fields of application are rapidly evolving and expanding. This session will cover the following topics: molecular detection of infectious agents, continuous glucose measurement, and how point-of-care testing technologies are addressing the evolving needs of patients. Each of the three presentations will be dedicated to these specific topics.
We are exhibiting some of our innovative packaging solutions for healthcare at Booth #3224. Learn about what we will be showcasing at the event:?
Akuratemp’s Technology Advantage lies in the development of custom-designed thermal packaging that utilizes “PCM within PUF approach” with an “optimal weight to volume ratio.” This approach delivers reliable, reusable, and economical temperature-controlled solutions. The integration of an IoT-enabled track and monitoring system ensures end-to-end traceability for closed-loop delivery models. This year, we will be presenting three product categories aimed at ensuring sustainable temperature security within human biological samples and laboratory reagent supply chains.?
The IVD Blood and Tissue Shipper: In the post-COVID era, there has been a? significant increase in at-home collection of IVD Blood and Tissue Samples. Akuratemp will present its ISTA pre-validated multi-use IVD Blood and Tissue Shipper, designed specifically for transporting individual patient samples. It utilizes a safe alternative to dry ice that can be recharged at home for transporting frozen samples. This shipper enables?hand delivery of the sample at a local laboratory and eliminates need for disposal.?

The Laboratory Reagent Parcel Shipper: The integrity of laboratory reagents is just as crucial as the integrity of the samples being analyzed. Akuratemp will present its ISTA pre-validated multi-use parcel shipper that integrates? freeze protection technology for refrigerated biologics. This shipper safeguards the payload temperature, preventing it from dropping too low when preparing for shipment using Akuratemp’s Cool Packs and during exposure to low ambient temperatures in winter. The multi-use shipper use allows laboratories? to save on styrofoam disposal costs while distributors save on shipper procurement costs, contributing to a sustainable healthcare cold chain.?
Akuratemp’s Smart Medical Courier Tote (MCT) offers integrated value for medical courier organizations, enabling them to maintain temperature for Frozen, Refrigerated, and Controlled Room Temperature samples, while also ensuring?end-to-end visibility of the cold chain assets. The multi-use MCTs utilize PCM technology for temperature control, eliminating the need for dry ice when transporting frozen samples. These MCTs undergo testing under an extreme temperature profile that stimulates a 10-hour courier transit route, with a tote opening every 15 minutes for sample drops.?
Akuratemp’s “Track & Monitor” platform provides a medical courier organization the the capability to? digitize each asset involved in its supply chain across multiple locations. At an operational level, the organization is able to:
Akuratemp’s “Track & Monitor” system features an elaborate User Management Module for administration user roles, a Consignment Management Module for creating temperature profiles for each asset equipped with a sensor, a Logistics Management Module for creating, monitoring, and reporting? courier trips, and a Warehouse Management Module to monitor temperature of fixed refrigeration assets at each location.?
