Requirements:

1. Eligibility:

- Applicants must have a Ph.D. or terminal degree in their field.

- The Ph.D. or terminal degree must have been held for at least two years.

- This program is open to scholars, professionals, and artists from all disciplines, except clinical medicine.

- Applicants should be Pakistani citizens with strong academic histories, residing and working in Pakistan.

- Applicants must demonstrate the ability to teach in a university setting.

2. Language Proficiency:

- Excellent command of written and spoken English is required.

3. Proposal:

- A clear and well-formulated proposal about what you would like to accomplish in the United States and how it relates to your work in Pakistan. The proposal is the most important single portion of the application.

4. Ineligibility:

- Persons with dual U.S./Pakistani nationality or those who have a spouse, parent, or child over 18 years of age who is a U.S. citizen or permanent resident.

- Employees of the Fulbright organization, the U.S. Department of State, or USAID and their spouses, children (over 18 years of age), dependents, and parents.

- Persons already studying in the United States or on a work/residence visa in any country.

### Grant Benefits:

- The grant covers airfare, an incidental research allowance, a living stipend, and health insurance.

- The program also funds one accompanying dependent.

- USEFP will assist with the visa application process.

Procedure to Prepare the Application:

1. Research and Prepare Your Proposal:

- Clearly define your research or teaching project, including objectives and how it will contribute to Pakistan’s development upon your return.

- Ensure that your proposal is aligned with the Fulbright Program’s goals of mutual understanding between Pakistan and the United States.

2. Gather Required Documentation:

- Updated CV or resume.

- Academic transcripts and degree certificates.

- Letters of reference.

- Proof of English language proficiency (if required).

- A detailed research or teaching proposal.

3. Complete the Online Application:

- Visit [www.usefp.org](https://www.usefp.org) to access the application form.

- Fill out the application form with accurate and detailed information.

- Upload all required documents, including your proposal, CV, and references.

- Double-check your application for completeness and accuracy before submission.

4. Submit Your Application:

- Ensure that all application materials, including references, are submitted online by the deadline: Wednesday, September 18, 2024.

- Note that paper applications will not be accepted.

5. Follow-Up:

- After submission, keep an eye on your email for any further instructions or requests for additional information from USEFP.
