????As a Multimedia HAL (Hardware Abstraction Layer) Developer, you will play a critical role in bridging the gap between hardware and software, enabling seamless multimedia experiences across a variety of devices. Your work will involve developing and optimizing the HAL to ensure efficient operation of multimedia hardware components, including audio, video, and graphics subsystems.

Key Responsibilities:?

• HAL Development: Design, develop, and maintain the multimedia hardware abstraction layer to interface between the operating system and hardware components.
• Optimization: Optimize performance and power consumption of multimedia hardware by implementing efficient algorithms and leveraging hardware capabilities.
• Integration: Collaborate with hardware and software teams to ensure seamless integration and compatibility of multimedia components across different platforms.
• Debugging and Testing: Identify and resolve issues related to multimedia hardware and software interactions through thorough debugging and testing processes.
• Documentation: Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for the HAL, including APIs, usage guidelines, and technical specifications.

Job Description:

• Display Driver

Display Domain: MIPI DSI, DP 1.4, DP2.1 Spec, Display Timings, Vsync, Display blanking intervals, Blending of layers, Display Color Formats, HDCP, Secure display.

HQX SW: OpenWFD Standard, IPC, Sockets, Client-Server Architecture.

• Linux Android SW:

DRM APIs, Surface Flinger, HW Composer, Grillo, Systrace tool, DRM Leasing, Android Buffer Queues, CTS/VTS issues debug hands-on.

• GFX:

GFX Drivers - OpenCL2.0/3.0, GLES4.X, Vulkan drivers(VK1.1/VK1.3)

• Video Driver

Video Framework, Android Video, Accelerator, V4L2, Video Kernel Driver.?

Good Knowledge of any of Video Codecs like MPEG2/4, H264/H265/VP8/VP9/AVI

• Audio Driver ::

ALSA, ADSP, Routing, Tuning, Android Audio Framework, HAL, Linux Kernel Drivers, AMS, MDF, GEF Effectsm Audio CarPlay/Android Auto, SVA, TDM, I2S

• Camera Driver :?

Camera Sensor, AIS, CAMX Framework, Tuning, CSI Protocol, Camera Drivers, CamX use-case enablement.?

Android EVS HAL, Android Camera2 HAL, AIDL Interface, Early Service Frameworks, Early RVC use-cases, Chromatix tool.
