Keep it simple. Test one thing—like your subject line, the call-to-action (CTA), or even the send time. Trying to test everything at once just muddles your results.
Divide and Conquer
Split your list into equal groups and make sure the sample size is big enough to give you clear results. Random selection is key—don’t overthink it.

Are you trying to boost opens? Get more clicks? Drive actual sales? Decide upfront what success looks like for your test.
