Unlimited Potential

Unlimited Potential

Self awareness is the first step to all transformational change. Without it, you are setting goals that simply do not align with your beliefs, values and identity. Many high performers make this mistake, and chase something external that they 'think' will make them happy, but ultimately they feel the same regardless of the outcome.

What is your identity? Who are you when you remove all of the masks and labels given to us by society?

  • I am a Dad..
  • I am a business owner..
  • I am a CEO..
  • I am overwhelmed..
  • I am tired..
  • I am a husband..

But if you were to strip all of these labels back, and peel them off layer by layer, what remains?

Who are you beneath the iceberg, when nobody is watching?

Identity is the character or personality of an individual. How do we use it to find our passion and purpose?

First of all, you need to identify your core traits and core values!

Here are some questions to help you:

  • What makes you happy?
  • What are you most proud of?
  • What are your core values?
  • What do you like to do for fun?
  • Who are your role models?
  • What are your beliefs about the world?

Take your time to experiment with these questions, and see what comes up for you!

Now, we want to turn that identity into your purpose!

What will make your life more meaningful? What needs to happen for you to wake up everyday with a sense of intent and purpose, without needed external factors to motivate you to take consistent action?

My purpose is to reach over 1 million people over the next 5 years, but I detach myself from the outcome, and focus on the journey, which is about taking small consistent steps every single day. That's what brings meaning to my life, knowing that I have the opportunity to serve and make an impact globally.

The next question is; what are you truly capable of? What's your potential? How will you use it?

If you are reading this article, remember that you were born to be great, and only you can decide if you want that greatness to play out fully like it's supposed to.

Remember being a school kid with massive aspirations for what you wanted to be? Then society and expectations started to tell you what you should or can't do.

It's time to stop playing it safe! Your comfort zone feels comfy now, but don't wait 20 years until you're full of regrets to make the changes you need to make.

This is your life. Go play the game, instead of watching others take the winning shots!
