  • Budget: How you allocate your budget determines your focus and results. AI can help analyze spending patterns, identify waste, and optimize investments in areas that drive the most value. The 80/20 rule tells us that 80% of your results come from 20% of your efforts. AI can help pinpoint that crucial 20% and ensure your budget is focused on what matters most.
  • Rate of Return: AI tools can also help maximize your rate of return by analyzing productivity, efficiency, and resource allocation. By using AI to ensure that every dollar and every minute is spent wisely, leaders can achieve greater outcomes with the same or even fewer resources.

I’ll never forget the moment when Sarah’s realisation hit her: "So, it’s not just about having more resources, but using what we have more effectively?" Exactly. Leaders often overlook that selling a change is still a sale—whether it’s to external customers or internally to your team.

There are two types of work: the necessary and the strategic bets that drive significant growth. Initially, there may be fear about making the wrong decisions, but AI can provide data-driven support, helping leaders make more informed choices.

During one of my workshops with a leadership team at a luxury perfume company, we conducted an exercise on identifying inefficiencies. One team leader realized he was spending hours each week on tasks that could be automated. His reluctance to let go was holding the team back, but by reallocating his time and embracing a healthier work-life balance, he could focus on higher-value tasks that drove more significant results.
