It is told that this thinking approach is the secret behind his success - whatever he has been able to create in a completely unconventional & innovative way.

In simple terms, First Principle Thinking means - you start deconstructing or, breaking down a complex problem and keep on asking the reasoning at every stage until you attain the most granular or atomic element, which cannot be further broken down. That is the most fundamental block which you start solving and that way you reverse engineer to arrive at the holistic solution.

In the Product Management & entrepreneurship world for startups, especially in the Ideation stage, it is extremely important for Product Managers & Entrepreneurs to see the problem statement with a completely fresh perspective, having forgotten the existing belief system or traditional methods of workaround. Otherwise, we will never be able to think of a solution hypothesis that has not been imagined before.
For example, before Airbnb was in the market, the traditional belief would have been that for running a hospitality business you need to invest in & own the real estate first.
