• Identify a need: What is a problem your customers are facing that you could solve?
• Build a simple prototype: What is the most straightforward version of a product or service that addresses this need?
• Test and collect feedback: Share your prototype with potential users and listen to their feedback.
• Learn and iterate: Analyse the feedback and make the necessary adjustments to your offering.

Design Thinking: Empathy in Action

Mix the steps above with a genuine understanding of the people you’re aiming to serve. Design Thinking isn’t just about creating solutions; it’s about creating the right solutions. It’s about solving problems that matter, with and for real people, ensuring that what you do genuinely makes an impact.

Your Step-by-Step Guide to Design Thinking:

1. Empathise: Engage with your customers and understand their experiences and needs.
2. Define: Clearly articulate the problem you are solving.
3. Ideate: Generate a range of ideas and solutions.
4. Prototype: Build a representation of one or more of your ideas to show to others.
5. Test: Return to your users for feedback.
6. Iterate: Refine your solution based on feedback, repeating the process as necessary.
