Interesting to read this article, and I think the future of consumer AR is MicroLEDs. I think one of the future challenges that must be solved and improved before AR-glasses become consumer grade is the resolution you get with MicroLEDs. I think for example the Vuzix Shield is impressive for todays technology, butnin the future MicroLEDs must solve the resolution. I actually saw an example of this as late as wednesday this week. I saw it at a presentation by a company in Norway (poLight) that works with optoelectronics, so there are some companies that are already working with solutions. I saw a presentation of a tunable pixel shifting wobulator (TWedge) which increases the resolution to 400%. This seems very promising, and I hope to see higher resolution in the future glasses.
