It is with immense pride and heartfelt joy that I extend my warmest congratulations to Marjorie DeHey, JD MBA , a true visionary and a cherished partner in the world of filmmaking. As I reflect upon Marjorie's resounding triumph at the prestigious 2023 Telly Awards , where she was honored for her outstanding directing in the enchanting short film, "Goldenrod" I find myself humbled by the privilege of working alongside such an exceptional talent.
Marjorie DeHey, JD MBA 's incredible achievement is a testament to her unwavering commitment, unparalleled creativity, and tireless dedication to her craft. As a producer on "Goldenrod," a labor of love that was brought to life through the collaborative efforts of Beauty View Ranch and Broken Typewriter Productions, and our talented team, I have witnessed Marjorie's directorial genius firsthand.
"Goldenrod" stands as a testament to Marjorie's remarkable ability to transport audiences to a bygone era, immersing them in a world of history, passion, and untold stories. Written by James DiLullo and set against the backdrop of 1861-1862, this captivating period piece follows the journey of Clara, a brave young girl who courageously holds her family and others together as her father embarks on a noble mission with the Union army. Filming on location at the breathtaking Beauty View Ranch in Cattaraugus County, New York, Marjorie meticulously captured the essence of the historical Underground Railroad routes through Cattaraugus, NY, infusing the film with authenticity and emotional resonance.
Marjorie's unique directorial vision breathes life into every frame of "Goldenrod," seamlessly blending historical accuracy with artistic expression. Her attention to detail, combined with her innate ability to elicit heartfelt performances, allows audiences to not only witness Clara's journey but to embark on it themselves. Through Marjorie's guidance, our incredible ensemble cast, including the gifted Harper Holmes, Ryker Overacker, Briana León, Asia Burns, Weston Young, Stella Coviello, and Amber Bates, brought their characters to life with a depth and authenticity that is truly awe-inspiring.

Marjorie's commitment to creating strong, multidimensional female characters is a hallmark of her directorial approach. It is a quality that shines brightly not only in "Goldenrod" but also in our previous collaborations, including the hauntingly captivating "Bottle Monster" (2021), where Marjorie fearlessly delved into the depths of suspense and human emotion, leaving audiences breathless.
Beyond her remarkable achievements, Marjorie's dedication to storytelling extends into the realm of television. As a producer, she helmed a groundbreaking TV pilot, reminiscent of the beloved "Wonder Years" but with a fresh and relatable perspective for Millennials. With the talented Olivia d'Abo from the original series portraying a compelling motherly role, and a remarkable ensemble cast of approximately 25 young actors, including the exceptional talents of Afra Sophia Tully, Willem Miller, Gil De St. Jeor, and Gordy De St. Jeor, the pilot promises to captivate and inspire audiences in the same way Marjorie's previous works have.
Marjorie's creative genius, collaborative spirit, and unwavering dedication have been instrumental in our journey as a producing team. Together, we have embarked on countless independent film productions, each one a testament to our shared passion for storytelling and our unyielding commitment to pushing the boundaries of artistic expression. As we celebrate Marjorie's remarkable achievement at the 2023 Telly Awards, we eagerly anticipate the release of our latest film, "Immortal Thieves: The Bloody Heist" which is poised to captivate audiences and leave an indelible mark on the independent world of cinema.

1 年I know our Cinematographer Keenan Mills used the Blackmagic Design camera for the Goldenrod production. Which lead Director Marjorie DeHey, to suggest to another filmmaker the brand of camera for their film shoot in Downtown Los Angeles. Due to it's quality and mobility as a "run and gun" camera.
