Unlearning: We all have the same brain

A little while ago, an entrepreneurial CEO was highly criticized for saying that we ‘all have the same 24 hours’, and rightly so. The pushback was because so many have now recognized that time is a resource and that we don’t all have the same access to it due to our financial status, gender, race, etc. Inequities are real and they impact how we are able to invest in ourselves and the world.
I would like to put forward that we should take the same thinking and apply it to brains. There seems to be a collective idea that everyone ‘should’ be able to do the same things in life.? I used to think the same thing and have lived my own life feeling ongoing shame that I was not able to do some of the things that others seemed to be able to do quite easily.
Now, before we go any further, I request that you sit on your hands so you cannot type any replies to me that involve ideas or solutions for the challenge I am about to bring up. Specifically, I do not want to hear any suggestions around:
-????????????? Prepping on the weekend
-????????????? Bulk cooking
-????????????? Morning prep
-????????????? Slow cookers, air fryers, Instant Pots, etc

Are we clear? Okay then. Let us move on.
In case you have not guessed it, cooking is something I find difficult. And sometimes (okay, often), I literally can’t do it. Shhh… I know. There is no such thing as ‘can’t’ right? ?Please tell that to 12-year-old me that tried to earn her cooking badge for Girl Guides and ended up on the floor surrounded by cookware in absolute tears due to not being able to figure out what size pot things should go into. I earned every single other badge except cooking. It hurts me to this day.
There have been times in my life when I could and did cook. However, those were times when my stress was low, and my time was plentiful...
