University students helping non profits

UPDATE FALL 2022

The initiative to help non profits by having university graduate and undergraduate students write strategic plans as part of a course is proceeding well. We are working with non profits in Canada and the USA, and there is no cost.

This fall we focus on helping Ukrainian Displaced persons.

1) a Ukrainian congress: a strategic plan for a free supplies retail store and the association itself.

2) a child and youth organization: become a social enterprise and better establish its recycling for funding revenue stream.

3) a skills training non profit: a plan to help Ukrainians develop Canadian job market skills.

4) a community service organization: a strategic plan to help Ukrainians and develop an organizational business model.

5) immigrant aid society: develop a corporate governance model and funding plan.

6) Ukrainian charity: a strategic plan for funding model, promotion and positioning and perhaps governance.

7) Ukrainian social services group: a strategic plan

8) a Ukrainian congress: : a strategic plan



Previously we have completed or are working on the following plans for non profits:

1) An IT training centre that helps disadvantaged people to learn IT job skills: Develop social media promotion plan.

2) An institute that focuses on the economic empowerment of women: Competitive analysis and promotion plan to donors.

3) An institute that focuses on the empowerment through education of disadvantage individuals: Promotion and strategic plans.

4) A social enterprise that sells inclusion/diversity products to help military veterans: Develop a strategic marketing plan.

5) A non profit association: Develop marketing and strategic plan.

6) A theatre company that provides funding events for non profits. Develop marketing and strategic plan.

7) An organization to develop children’s emotional intelligence: Develop a promotional and sustainable funding plan.

8) Black culture education organization for youth: Develop an on boarding process for volunteers and staff.

9) An organization that raises fund for clean water, clean air, safe & secure projects in communities: Develop a sustainable funding plan.

10) An organization that helps high school students to pursue careers in architecture, engineering, and construction through mentoring: Develop a promotion and communication plan.

11) Community theatre group: Develop the promotional plan for the next generation of community theatre customers.

10) An organization helping marginalized individuals with social integration: Develop a marketing and sustainable fundraising plan.

12) An organization helping people with neuro and cognitive disabilities: Develop a strategic plan and sustainable funding plan.1) a group supporting single parents in their community: provide an organizational/board structure, marketing & social media structure, and a financial structure including a membership based discount system for single parents.

13) an indigenous and LGBTQ organization facilitating food security for northern Canada residents: develop strategic, logistics, financial and marketing plans.

14) a group helping marginalized people develop skills to obtain jobs: develop a self-sustaining strategic structure for the non profit.

15) a group working to develop sustainable communities by addressing mental health, affordable housing, workforce development and environmental issues: develop a sustainable approach perhaps as a social enterprise.

16) an amyotrophic lateral sclerosis support group: develop a strategic plan to loan?specialized equipment to individuals with sclerosis.

17) a maritime mental health awareness network: develop a marketing (including social media), HR and donor/funding plan.

18) a group promoting culture, arts and humanities?to create a fairer world: create a sustainable membership plan including marketing, financial and strategy.

19) an organization focused on supporting those with congenital heart disease: a complete strategic review of the organization including fundraising, HR, IT, and Marketing.

20) a localized group helping a child born with CHARGE syndrome which is a severe genetic disorder and results in a multiple mental and physical health disorders: develop a marketing, financial and strategic plan.

21) A national homeless shelter: developed a risk framework and action plan to better manage their risks.

22) A community event support group: developed a plan to become a non profit.

23) A dog rescue organization: developed a plan to raise awareness and find more volunteers in the community.

24) A sports association: developed a program for providing sports equipment to schools in need of equipment.

25) An organization that connects teen girls with senior women living in retirement homes: analyzed why a social media campaign that the non profit recently completed was successful.

26) An organization that creates events for women to learn wellness: developed a promotion and volunteer recruitment plan.

27) A circus-like community organization that promotes inclusion, diversity and empathy: developed a marketing plan.
