University of Alberta- CCWJ Seminar: Dr. Duane K. Millar "Design of Welded Connections" on June 14th and 15th, 2017

 Good afternoon, the CCWJ is very excited to invite you to attend an industry seminar with Dr. Duane K. Miller presenting on "Design of Welded Connections" on June 14th and 15th, 2017

This seminar will cover both basic and advanced topics related to the design and fabrication of welded steel connections (details can be found in the attached brochure). The seminar will be presented by Dr. Duane K. Miller Sc.D., P.E., a world renowned authority on the design of welded connections. Dr. Miller is co-presenter of Lincoln Electrics Blodgett Design Seminar Series and has received numerous awards for his presentations and published works, including a CWA Gold Medal Award for the best paper presentation at the 2014 CWA CanWeld Conference. His enthusiastic teaching style and technical expertise have resulted in him being a much sought after speaker around the world, and this is the first technical seminar he has taught in western Canada in more than a decade.

The seminar will conclude with an open floor panel discussion that allows you to raise questions or address comments that arose during the seminar. We strongly encourage anyone working with welded connections to attend this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity.
