The Universe is made of stories, not of atoms

During the last 6,5 years, I was part of an organisation that reached new heights, that were probably not foreseen.

In Frulact, we’ve strengthen a vision and a dream, reinforcing several parts of its architecture. We’ve built bridges among many geographies, we’ve conquered our North American dream, with the opening of our magnificent Canadian facility in the upmost charming Kingston, we’ve conquered new customers and products worldwide and we’ve entered into new business segments, proving that oats are, in fact, the new cows.

We were able to deliver a robust transaction to our new shareholders (Ardian), that were surely convinced of the story we were building and how it could be made real. We’ve also entrenched our position in the US, with the acquisition of Sensient fruit prep business, that reinforced our lighthouse for the US East Coast

After 6,5 years it’s time to thank all the people I’ve been around with (colleagues, customers and, mostly, all the friends I’ve made) and remember, once again, that the universe is made of stories, not of atoms.

It’s also time to thank Joao Miranda (and the Miranda family), for inviting me to surf the exciting and never-ending innovative trends of the food industry and for historically leading this company either on the peaceful breeze or on the stormy waters that we’ve faced sometimes. Also, a particular mention to our executive team: Duarte (also for the endurance and guidance), Rogério (for our epic Canadian aventure), Armenio and Paulo for such a camaraderie.

Today, the global food industry knows Frulact by the name and they know what it stands for.

Godspeed Frulact: every inch of future success will be enthusiastically and jointly celebrated!
