The Universe loves speed while it responds to integrity

The Universe loves speed while it responds to integrity

When your task is dependent on others' actions then a single day delay is bound to impact the time for completion. You cannot control others' speed of action but you can very well influence them for faster response by your speed of action. People notice and remember you for your pace of response. Even the chronic defaulters have a faster and different response rate towards prompt people. So you show speed and the universe will respond faster than usual. But does the universe ask for speed at any cost? ?

David is feeling disheartened and dejected as he received a warning from his boss today. While leaving his boss's cabin, David was so disturbed and completely immersed in his thoughts that he did not even realise when he left his boss's cabin and how he was there at the parking lot of his office. On the contrary, David is well known in his office as "Mr. Perfect", since he is never late for his work, does not need reminders, and is very prompt in the successful closure of business calls. Today, his manager has given him a warning for the loss of business from the most important account M/s Robert & sons. Roberts has been a loyal customer of the company and has been a consistent business partner. Until last month everything was okay. David visited Roberts for the launch of his new product which was of a premium pricing. David being over-ambitious, wanted to be the first seller of this high-priced product across his team and hence has overpromised about the delivery. Roberts were convinced about the product and have placed the order with the condition for delivery within a week and due to this, they have even curtailed purchasing the competitor's product. But delivery was completely ignored by David for his greed for sales. David knew that delivery would take 15-20days but to have a quick and assured business for this new product, he quoted for delivery within five days. David hoped that he would be able to convince the dispatch team for early delivery and could also make Roberts wait for some days as he enjoyed nice relations with Roberts. After a week Roberts started giving calls to David about product delivery and David had no answers for this. His assumptions of getting faster dispatch and convincing Roberts were turning out to be wishful thinking. This delay started impacting business at M/s Robert & sons which left them fuming and out of rage they complained to top bosses in the company. They were then informed by the management that 15-20days is a usual delivery time and they had to wait for the same. This irked Roberts as they were already suffering loss due to delay. This entire episode ended with Roberts suing the company for loss in business due to delayed delivery. This finally came down to David’s manager and rest we can guess what all could have happened. The relations with this leading account were now much strained and had even started impacting business regarding other products.

David had done everything right but for the over promise and under delivery. David wanted to impress on his customers with the assurance of prompt delivery and they loved his speed in the past which led to placing the order with them.

Sometimes people give speed much higher importance at the cost of integrity. The universe does not prefer speed at the cost of integrity. Speed of action/response brings in recognition, laurels and sometimes people do not want to lose a single opportunity for recognition and they end up promising more and delivering less. This happens because of our faith only in the first part of this statement viz. "The Universe loves speed…….". We must be cognizant of the fact that although the Universe loves speed it responds to integrity.?
