The Universe has its mysterious ways of doing things...

Many years ago I managed to schedule my first commercial meeting alone. I remember it perfectly! The anxiety, the company and the person I was going to meet.

Most of all, I remember that that person treated me as trash! From the height of her position, unleashed all her fury and frustration on an unexperienced kid, who had literally been thrown to the wolves.

The truth is that because of that behaviour, of someone who had herself been mistreated by others, I learned a lot about human nature, and decided to investigate more about how to deal with this type of client. And for that, I am grateful!

Today I am hiring a position for one of the projects I lead. An international role for our most recent unit. We've been graced with wonderful applications of very interesting people, and one of the applications is from that contact, of my first commercial meeting.

Yes, that thing that your thinking came to my mind... Revenge! And I could simply invite her to come to an interview, only to serve her with a cold sharp revenge like in a Hollywood movie.

And I can also choose not to act from a place of pain. Do what's right: To forgive! To know that that event made me grow as a person and as a professional. And simply discard the application for knowing that the candidate hasn't the right soft skills for this position and for our culture.

Everything you do, the way you behave, the way you treat others, has a huge impact. So much bigger than you know! And sooner or later has consequences. Sometimes good ones, sometimes challenging ones...!

Despite the fact that you may be suffering and your pains are huge, YOU can choose to act from a place of compassion, forgiveness and Love... ALWAYS!
