The Universe As A Giant Neural Network - A Previous Leadership Lesson Applied At Astronomical Levels

Recently I wrote an article on whether you need to "Go Larger" or "Go Smaller" as a Leader.

The solution was that you need to do both Go Larger AND Go Smaller to have success as a Leader.

But how far does this concept apply?

Well, according to this Article from Big Think, it applies to all of known existence!

Is The Universe A Giant Neural Network?

The article above makes an attempt to explain how our understanding of physics has perhaps been lacking in the past.

It uses some extremely fascinating evidence, science, and perspectives to explain the theory that the entire Universe may actually be a Giant Neural Network.

This means that everything we can see within the universe (from atoms, protons and neutrons all the way to Stars, Galaxies, and Black Holes) can all be explained by understanding it all as a Growing, Thinking, Evolving Brain!

They use Quantum Entanglement Theory to explain how "neural communication" could span distances that are lightyears apart.

Connections are made that allow Biology, Quantum Physics, and Classical Physics to exist in harmony.

This is something that many modern scientists have struggled to accomplish on any level.

It describes a "Theory of Everything" for how the cosmos works.

Further, it shows examples of things that are statistically impossible by classic theories, being actually quite possible under a Neural Network theory!

For instance - there are Black Holes that all essentially spin exactly the same way, despite their distance away from each other!

There is literally a less than 1% chance that this has occurred within a "random" understanding of a universe.

However, in a universe that is evolving, growing, and with a purpose toward order, it suddenly becomes the likely scenario!

It even dives into the late works of Steven Hawking to show that he too believed that "deconstructionist" science (aka, only Going Small) is unable to find all of the answers, but going holistically (aka, also Going Large) allows all of these theories and scientific laws to suddenly coexist in a way that makes sense!

What is also crazier is that there are many different subjects that could tie into this theory that was not even mentioned in the article!

A large area that goes through my mind is the study of Biomagnetism, which ties in with Neurocardiology with literal connections to each other.

This specifically is really important in Leadership, as these magnetic waves can (and do) create either peace or stress on teams and organizations.

However, there are theories of Magnetism (with research being conducted currently) involving further communication potentially spanning across the globe!

This would mean that potentially there are pathways being discovered for "feeling" things that exist in different parts of the world!

A classic example of this is the phenomenon when one twin "feels" something going wrong with another twin in a different part of the world.

Similar things have been described with parents and children as well, but there hasn't been anything proving how it could actually happen.

However, this article is going to show that perhaps there is a significantly deeper connection, with much more complexity, than we ever realized!

The article says that this theory unites Physics and Biology.

However, if what I am reading is correct - it could also explain Theology, Philosophy, and quite literally every existing theory for any topic I can think of.

The Takeaway

I am not an astrophysicist.

Quantum mechanics are a complete mystery to me.

These entire sets of subjects are outside of any of the work I do.

Though I do not completely understand, I am still planning on studying further (including reading the actual research papers involved).

Why?

Many reasons, from true curiosity to understanding how Flow works, and understanding how connections are made through combining (seemingly different) ideas no one has attempted to connect.

I also find it incredibly fascinating that what led to these connections is the same thing that seems to be the solution in Leadership.

It is not enough to just "Go Larger".

It is not enough to just "Go Smaller".

Both of these have failed us all in getting to the answers we all seem to seek.

However, when we do both, we can find answers that we never even considered possible before!
