Next, we tested the new prediction from clustering between GABA and cancer using link prediction and found again predictions between GABA agonists and cancer. Finally, we tested this new prediction experimentally and confirmed the ability of GABA-modulating drugs to induce a cancer-like phenotype in a vertebrate model system in vivo, in the absence of classic carcinogens, oncogenes, or DNA damage as the initiator of cellular conversion."
