THE UNIVERSAL LAW OF ATTRACTION: PART 1

THE UNIVERSAL LAW OF ATTRACTION: PART 1

Yesterday I was going through Oprah Winfrey’s interview with Larry King where she described the success the law of attraction brought into her life. And when we hear someone talking about his success with Law of Attraction or The Secret, we are most likely witnessing something that seems like impossible magic.

In fact, I have heard people like Will Smith, Jim Carrey, and Arnold Schwarzenegger who swear to this way of life and achieving success because of it.

Out of curiosity, I just opened a mindvalley blog and things made sense.

These things were not I was listening for the first time. In fact, our parents or grandparents had passed these thoughts to us.

1.    Making a firm decision (Law of attraction explains it this way: When you imagine this new “thing” or “desire” in your life, imagine it fully with each of your five sensesImagine what this new thing looks like, smells like, sounds like, feels like and tastes like if it’s relevant.)

2.    Making yourself aware of your thoughts.( Law of attraction describes if part of us feels we don’t deserve what we are seeking, then that part of us is competing with our desire)

3.    Replacing the fears and doubts with gratitude and appreciation ( Law of Attraction says those deep, subconscious fears and doubts send messages loud and clear too. Reflect upon how your hopes, dreams, and ambition attracted those good things to you. Make a list of all the great things in your life and express your appreciation for those things)

4.    Living out that imagination, that decision. (Law of Attraction explains it this way. When we take action as if we’ve already gotten what we desire, we are sending a huge, loud and clear message to the universe that we are serious. For example, if you’re trying to lose weight, go out and buy an outfit that fits the size you’re aiming for. Or, if you’re aiming for something as big as complete financial freedom, start planning what you’re going to do with all that free time and money.)

And written there was, “The final piece to the Law of Attraction puzzle is persistence.”

And I could not agree more. We each have our own individual hurdles to overcome, and it will take time to see the results of this system. But that interview, followed by that good read, really created an impact on the way I thought and is somewhat drawing me closer to practice mindfulness.

Will keep writing my encounters with the same!
