The Unity Guy, on Purpose

The Unity Guy; what is that? It is a brand, and an identity. It is not my sum total and unique identity, but it is a large part of it.

My Purpose is grounded in it, from my experience to my education and Enthusiasm. Purposeful Enthusiasm, otherwise known as Zeal. Yes, my enterprise is indeed, and in deed, my Zeal.

I speak, coach, mentor and educate on it. I write on it. I blog and cartoon on it. I vlog and converse on it... including but not limited to:

• Talk Reel

• #hUmaNITY
• The Justice Lead
• and Digital Coffees.

Indeed, I speak, teach, mentor, coach, facilitate, train, develop, sing, dance, write, cartoon, blog, vlog, and create on it; it is my body of work and Service.

Why do I say this, and now? First, it is because I believe that putting ourselves out into the world as us, is the best way for those looking for us to find us. For me, it is not about "advertising". It is about being and doing. and seeing where that takes us and who shows up.

Second, I think finding Purpose is about claiming the country that is our life and our best sense of both Character and internal Unity; call it Congruence.

Finding Congruence

In practice, Congruence is the alignment of thought, will and action. We say what we mean and mean what we say. We do what we say and say what we do. We own it. It is Integrity, in action.

So, my thought this day is two fold. Again first, consider your unique combination of knowledge, skills, abilities, Character, Temperament, interests, likes, loves, talents, capacities, perspectives and more. Consider your WHY and JUST CAUSE if you will. Consider what matters most to you as meaning and mission and vision. Consider what capacities you bring to the table in Service of same.

Personally, I find that the global goals can be a constructive starting point to consider meaning, mission and vision, and be part of something bigger, helping build a future for us all... and finding our best "fit" in that. I would suggest to you that finding our fit and "fitting in" are two very different things. Finding our fit is about finding our why and just cause and ever exploring our best purpose. "Fitting in" is more about arbitrary conformity; that square peg in a round hole kind of of thing. Again personally, I seek the former and avoid the latter.

When we consider our knowledge, skills, abilities, Character, Temperament, interests, likes, loves, talents, capacities, perspectives and more... we start to build an inventory of self awareness that points us to who and what we most seek to serve, and how we can best do it. That is being on Purpose. And that is Simple Business.
