Uniting for Stroke Awareness: Renata PLC Inspires Action on World Stroke Day
Every year on October 29th, the world observes World Stroke Day to raise awareness about stroke, a leading cause of death and disability worldwide. This year’s theme, “Let’s Get Active Every day to be Greater Than Stroke”, to emphasis the emotional power of sport to drive stroke awareness and to motivate us all to take action every day to reduce our stroke risk.
Globally, stroke affects over 12 million people annually, leaving many with lasting disabilities and, tragically, taking lives. In Bangladesh, stroke remains a critical public health issue, with rates rising due to factors like high blood pressure, diabetes, smoking, and limited access to healthcare resources. Raising awareness about prevention and early intervention is essential in a country where a significant number of people are at risk but may lack knowledge about warning signs and lifestyle adjustments that could reduce stroke incidence.
In support of this year’s World Stroke Day, Renata PLC is committed to spreading awareness through partnerships with hospitals, medical colleges, and healthcare communities across Bangladesh. As a scientific partner, Renata PLC has organized a series of events, including scientifc seminars, public awareness rallies, and TV Talkshows to inform and empower people about stroke prevention. Our goal is to highlight the importance of lifestyle changes, regular screenings, and understanding stroke symptoms, encouraging early action that can save lives.
Together, let’s join forces to reduce the impact of stroke. By working together, we can ensure that everyone has the knowledge and support they need to protect themselves and their loved ones from the devastating effects of stroke.
