United We Celebrate Festival 2018

This festival mark the 92nd annual IIMD’s International Festival and will be held on October 12-14, 2018 at the Keyworth Stadium, 3201 Roosevelt St., in Hamtramck. The City of Hamtramck, its Dept. of Ed, IIMD , many of the area businesses and organizations will host this 3 day event. Opening Friday (10/12) will be the new USA citizen swearing in ceremony, witnessed by students from the Tri-County area. The students will also showcase the splendor of their cultural performing arts. That evening,  6 – 9 p.m, we will honor the festival’s sponsors at The Heartbeat of Michigan Awards Gala. Come also on Sat & Sun to enjoy many ethnic performers, art & food vendors.

United We Celebrate Festival 2018 will mark 99 years of IIMD establishment in serving southeastern Michigan in immigration, social services and global education. In preparation for our centennial celebration we planning to introduce our first issue of The Michigan Global Directory (MGD), a unique printed guide, a comprehensive website and mobile application, that highlights success stories of new Americans and informs the public about services, goods, and resources in our global community.
