United States HughesNet boosts rural speeds using capacity from JUPITER 3.

Hughes Network Systems (HughesNet) has announced that it has boosted the download speeds available in rural America by leveraging capacity on its JUPITER 3 satellite. The JUPITER-powered HughesNet plans support download speeds up to 100Mbps, the company notes. Peter Gulla, SVP at Hughes, commented: ‘Since inventing satellite internet in the 1990s, Hughes has been dedicated to constantly innovating our service to meet the needs of customers beyond the reach of cable and fibre connectivity. The new HughesNet is a fundamental reinvention of what satellite internet can be.’
