I remember when, back in the day,
Before we got all Woke,
Us little humans, such tiny beans,
Used to be plain folk.
We’d see some wrong, communicate,
And try to fix what’s broke,
But now we can’t do anything,
Cuz we have never spoke.
We agi-Tweet, and shoot Facebombs,
And can’t get past the hump,
And when we run into a snag,
We blame it all on Trump.
I say yes, but you say no,
When did we get so wimpy?
Now it seems we’re mostly led,
By dolts like Ren and Stimpy.
Why do you hate me, I don’t you,
Perhaps my skin’s too white?
Maybe if I’m red or green,
You’ll think I’m now just right?
We kill the planet, or yet we won’t!
How can we save our nation?
Maybe when I plug my car,
We’ll find cli-mate salvation.
We can’t turn left, those Dem-o-cans,
Who only want to tax us,
We can’t turn right – Republicrats!
Just froze us out in Texas.
The New York Times, please give relief!
And hope with your opinion,
But when I read your captive rag,
You smell just like The Onion.
I used to like myself a lot,
Or rather just accept me,
But now I’m Woke and understand,
My history rejects me.
I’m too short - hey I'll just grow!
I'll Young-ify my Olds,
I’ll Cancel out my former self,
And be Ry-an Rey-nolds.
I still do love our great country,
Al-though our hopes seem scant,
When did the Un-i-ted States,
Become Amer-i-can’t?
