In 1993, the Papua New Guinean Government has signed an agreement with the United Nation To Protect all the children in PNG, after 16 years(2009) the new Lukautim Pikinini Act was Drafted and in 2014 it was Passed in the Parliaments as a LAW/ACT to protect Children.
Therefore the State has the responsibility to put all the School Age Children back to school regardless of Gender and their whereabout, even if it in the most remotest part of the country, the children must have access to better learning.
To date, some children that are in school are forced to leave schools due to Principals want project fees which some of them can not afford as they come from a broken homes/families, most of the children are on the street of Papua New Guinea, selling manufactured/fresh products just to make ends meet, have some lunch money, and so on
Yet in remote schools, there is no adequate learning materials, teaching materials, no infrastructure, road connections. and instead of pursuing further studies they are forced to be married at an early age, especially girls, boys are involved in Tribal wars, domestic labors, and become a father in his teen. if some one from Lae or Port Moresby comes to their village and offers a Trip to the cities, the poor children does not ponder much of what will happen after but lured by the promises and ended up being babysitters, bus boss crew, store keeper and yet no time for school.. at the end they will be on the streets
LIKE I'VE SAID, the State of Papua New Guinea is ABUSING its own children by not distributing the Educational Materials Equally to the Remote Schools around the country but only concentrating in the Cities where their own Children Attends...
The Anus is on EDUCATION MINISTERS and SECRETARIES to really push for the delivery of educational services to the remote places and equally distribute the resource...
STATE OF Papua New Guinea IS ABUSING ITS OWN CHILDREN BY NEGLECTING THEM,,
When I was a child, I never knew such a laws exist to protect me but now i know that it was there, but the people who would have implemented it were so lazy people occupying the position without producing any result to protect the children of PNG...may be Government did not fund it?
LIKE I'VE SAID,"THINK ABOUT IT"

9 年Wonderfully and truthfully stated sir. It has been a trend with the Government of PNG as I have observed so far that they are very good at documenting policies and gazetting them in parliament. However, most or all of them are seen growing cobwebs in their good highly valued offices. they have always lacked in the practical part of it since Independence and if not some, only a tenth of them have partly been achieved. While approving all those shits of beautified documents, the government terribly always forgets the setting up of the mechanisms to carry them forwards. Some times they try to do but cronies have intelligent ways of misusing funds in the pretext of implementing them and as a result, we see what we see now as you have stated above sir. We will only think about it but if we happen to be in any position of authority, please bear in mind not to forget the least fortunate ones back in our villages. They also deserve better services and education just like us the fortunate ones. Cheers!
