The United Kingdom is all ready to remove travel restrictions for vaccinated travellers from 11th February.

The United Kingdom has decided to remove all testing requirements for fully vaccinated travellers from 11th February, 4 AM as a result of the tremendous success of the booster programs and vaccination drives implemented by the government.?

A Passenger Locator Form (PLF) containing necessary information like the contact details, travel history, vaccination status needs to be filled by the travellers. However, people will have an extra day to complete it before they travel.

Those who have not been fully vaccinated will be required to take a pre-departure test as well as a PCR test on or before the second day after arriving in the UK. Everyone under the age of 18 will be considered fully vaccinated for inbound travel, regardless of their particular vaccination status.

According to sources, London will add 16 additional countries and territories to the list of recognised vaccine certificates, including Mexico and China. The overall number of recognised vaccine certificates will rise to 180 as a result of this. Note that this list includes all countries in South Asia.

It will now be easier for children between the age of 12 to 15 to provide proof of their vaccination status or even proof of infection through a digital NHS Covid Pass starting from 3rd February for outbound travel enabling families planning to travel to countries that need a vaccination proof or prior infection to allow entry in the country, venue or services.?

As quoted by Grant Shapps the Transport Secretary, “We successfully made the right calls at the right time which made worthy decisions, all thanks to our vaccine and booster rollout, it surely was of help!

After these changes, the United Kingdom can surely be considered the country with the most free-flowing borders along with a progressing economy and society. Indeed a great step by the UK government working in favour of the tourism sector allowing more families to visit the UK for holidays as well as for the international students to fly out for overseas education.
