Unit Fan or Ceiling Fan?

Is it more economical to operate the fan on my air conditioning unit continuously or just turn on the ceiling fans in each of the rooms?

In this part of the country you should never leave you fan on now in the northern climates where its dry they keep the fans on but this is south eastern North Carolina you don’t do it because then you have a humidity problem.

Your indoor humidity should be in between 30 to 50% and the main part of air conditioning is removing the moisture from the house. You don’t want to add moisture by leaving your fans on.

Another good thing to remember about those ceiling fan is they are not going to cool a room off. If the room is just sitting there with the fan on you’re doing no good because fans cool people not rooms. Just remember that fans give you a wind chill affect that’s what cools you down it’s kind of like a 70 degree day when the sun is shining no wind or 70 degrees where it’s a little shady and you got 15 MPH wind which one is cooler? The one with the wind!
