Unit 4 Reflection
During the past several weeks Reading Reserve has been working on finalizing the prototype. We have finished the dimensions and what specifically we want with the product. We have also put out a few prototypes for people to test. This will allow us to get direct feedback on how people feel about the product after using it for some time.
In order to get our product known we have been doing some research into marketing tactics and channels. We have created advertisements that we can use to post on various social media platforms. The main platforms we would advertise on would be Instagram and TikTok. The main market we are going after is a younger audience and marketing on these platforms would allow us to reach that market.
We have also learned about manufacturing over the course of this last month and have been doing some research as to what we would do. Our group has decided that it would be better for us to manufacture the product ourselves rather than working with manufacturers. Since personalization and customization is a huge part of our UVP being able to manufacture the product ourselves allows us to give customers more availability when it comes to those traits.

Moving into licensing we thought that this idea was much more viable and is something that we are considering. Brands would be able to sell our bookmarks to a larger audience or market. An example would be working with a book fair or book store to have their logo on our product or for them to sell our bookmark at their events.
Unit 4 has helped our group have a clearer and better idea of where we want to be in terms of moving forward for Final Pitch Night. I am excited to continue working on marketing and licensing throughout the semester to grow our business.
