Uniquely You Sales Strategy

Uniquely You Sales Strategy

Today, I was asked how I decided on the best ways to market my business. The answer is two-fold. First, I ensure that my marketing activities are enjoyable for me. Second, I ensure that these activities will reach and resonate with my target customers.

There are countless ways to market your business and connect with potential customers—networking events, speaking engagements, buying email lists, writing blogs or books, cold calling, and more. I've tried most of them at some point.

What I found is that some strategies work for me, while others don't. The key question I had to answer was: which ones work and why? The answer lies in aligning my marketing strategies with who I am, based on my human design chart.

I am an Emotional Generator. This means I have the energy to pursue almost anything I desire, as long as I am responding to something or someone. For me, the most effective way to market my business is by sharing my knowledge through speaking and writing, and ensuring that my current customers see my work. This way, they may choose to work with me again or refer new business my way.

Understanding Human Design for Marketing and Sales

By understanding your human design, you can discover the marketing and sales strategies that align with your natural strengths and tendencies. Here are some suggestions based on different human design types:

  1. Manifestors: You are initiators. Your strength lies in starting new projects and setting things in motion. Use direct and bold marketing strategies. Announce new products or services with confidence and take the lead in creating unique opportunities.
  2. Manifesting Generators: You are versatile and dynamic. You excel in multitasking and handling various projects simultaneously. Use a combination of strategies like social media engagement, networking events, and content creation to keep your marketing efforts diverse and energetic.
  3. Generators: You have sustainable energy and are driven by what excites you. Focus on marketing strategies that allow you to respond to external stimuli. Engage in activities like interactive social media posts, community involvement, and customer feedback loops to keep your energy high and your marketing efforts effective.
  4. Projectors: You thrive when recognized and invited. Focus on building relationships and waiting for invitations to share your insights. Offer your expertise through webinars, workshops, and consulting sessions where you can shine and be acknowledged for your wisdom.
  5. Reflectors: You are deeply intuitive and sensitive to your environment. Leverage this by engaging in community-based marketing and gathering feedback. Use strategies that involve observing trends and reflecting back insights, such as market research and advisory roles.

Conclusion

Not every marketing strategy will work for everyone, and that's okay. The key is to focus on what aligns with your true self. By understanding your human design, you can tailor your marketing and sales efforts to fit your unique strengths, making your business growth more authentic and sustainable.
