ABOUT THE ROLE

The role of Warehouse Manager is responsible for 15 staff (plus seasonal labour) and will help shape the culture, SOPs, training and direction of the warehouse. The position will manage the 3PL/Contract Logistics and 77G bonded warehouse operations within a new 10,000 sq/m facility. Previous experience operating staff, contracts and facilities is essential. Experience with International freight is an advantage.

DUTIES

? Responsible for the running of the 77G warehouse

? Manage and maintain client 3PL warehouse contract requirements

? Consistently increase the efficiency of the warehouse operation by reducing costs, improving productivity and capacity utilization

? Ensure all cargo is collected and handled within the relevant customs and DAWRS rules and responsibilities

? Monitor and adhere to relevant OH&S regulations and IR legislation

? Achieve key performance indicators and service level requirements as agreed with the client

? Provide regular follow-up reports

? Lead and mentor a team of 15 staff

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

? Current role within Warehouse Management within contract/3PL

? Previous experience managing a 77G Warehousing of at least five years

? Demonstrated experience leading and mentoring a team

? Strong understanding of out-turn, underbond

? Strong knowledge of the legislation/regulations governing the Warehousing and Transport industry

? Demonstrated ability and previous experience leading staff

? Exposure to Cargowise1 an advantage
